Determined I will probably never find a basic Ghoulia for less than $50, consoled myself with at least buying her shoes. <__< * le ebay purchase*
shes $39 on amazon
I guess if she’s the only Spectra I’ll ever get my hands on, she’s not so bad
(but then, they brought back Abbey!)
So relieved Scarah Screams is the SDCC12 exclusive. I cannot think of any negatives to her being the chosen one, so here are the positives I’ve come up with…
Scarah in limited quantities means no Scarah flooding store shelves. If everyone hates her as much as they say, it’s good that Mattel isn’t producing her endlessly. It gives future dolls a better chance of being produced in quantities that can supply the demand.
Scarah as an exclusive means a new, different doll is NOT an exclusive. Imagine if Deadfast Ghoulia was a general release and not an exclusive. Who knows if we’d all have the chance to get her at our local TRU/Target/etc by now. This opens up the door of Bloodgood (and that unfortunate spider girl) being sold to retailers. Seriously, you think they WON’T make a Bloodgood doll?
Much-loved characters as exclusives, IMO, make us more angry. How many people want Deadfast Ghoulia? All of us. I think Mattel knows what they’re doing to make us happy - putting out a new ‘background’ character as an exclusive that, if we want bad enough, we will pay money for.
I have no idea who the date could be behind the packaging flap. I’m not going to make any guesses based on a pin/needle. If it’s a popular guy from the webisodes, I have faith he’ll make it into mass production in future lines.
Let’s thank Mattel for not making [nonexistent] Haunt & Seek Spectra an exclusive. We’d really be mad then, wouldn’t we?
